My twin brother Ross and I went to Egypt in April 2006. It was a place we had both wanted to visit for some time. We elected to go with "On the Go Tours" and they provided us with one of the best tour guides I have ever had, the irrepressible Sharif!
We took in Cairo, the Pyramids at Giza and Saqqara, and then took the train overnight to Aswan. While there we visited the Aswan Dam, the Phillae Temple and took a very early flight to Abu Simbel. We then spent four days sailing down the Nile to Luxor - a more relaxing four days it would be hard to imagine.
In Luxor we visited the Luxor and Karnack temples, as well as journeying to the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, visiting Queen Hashepsut's Temple and more besides.
Our trip was completed with a trip to the Red Sea to Dahab, which will be featured in a new blog to come.
